We are going to look at the parables of Jesus in Luke 15. Jesus is dealing with the Pharisees, they are having some problems with Jesus' teaching. These issues serve as subject matter for Jesus as he launches into these parables. Jesus uses the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son as extended metaphors to answer their inquiries. These are famous parables, church or not, people are familiar with them. These parables show how the grace of God not only changes us individually, it also changes us, as the church, into a unique community.
