All Saints Church

Christmas is an adventure. It's really a road that has many hairpin turns, scenic passes and unpredictable. In our culture we have made it shopping, fireplaces, and warmth. At the first Christmas there was none of that. It was scary, dark, and an epic adventure for the young parents of Jesus.

What they realized and we have forgotten was the fact that Jesus left the security and safety of home and became human. He was born to literally die. Christmas calls us to take a wild ride with God that can be scary and feel out of control. God, by sending his Son has called us to a life of reordering, relinquishment and finally, rejoicing!
