Shaken But Not Stirred

In Acts 3, 4 and 5 we see how the early church faced persecution from society. They're money, loved ones, jobs and lives were threatened, lost and taken away. There were shaken by what they were losing. Then, God shook them. We read that God came down to fill them with his Spirit and they were able to see the reality of who God is. That gave them an overwhelming boldness. As that happened, they were then able to shake the world around them. We don't have to fear losing anything and it allows us to be generous with everything even at the risk of a comfortable life. We know that Jesus will give us wealth that will last, he will give us a life that no one can take from us.
