All Saints Church

We are continuing our look at Christmas from different lenses. This Sunday we are talking about peace. I have always thought this peace was something internal or political or international. I never saw it as peace that brings me into right relationship with God. Jesus came to earth with a body so we could be reconciled to God forever. That is the gift of peace that is perfect. We spend a lot of time trying to make peace about a state of mind or a world without war. Certainly those are part of the peace story, but Jesus' main mission was to bring us peace that will keep us from certain destruction. What a gift that baby Jesus brought us, peace on earth to those with whom He is pleased.
