Faithwalks

An interesting thing takes place in this passage, it would appear that James is contradicting himself and the rest of the Bible by saying that "faith without works is dead." One might conclude that works really are the most important, that it IS about how good we are, what we do, how moral we are. Furthermore, one could say that it really does depend on me and what I do. Well, James is not saying that, in fact   James is saying a mere profession of faith in Jesus isn’t enough to prove that you are really right with God you have to show some concrete changes in your life. Therefore, “we are rescued by faith alone but not by a faith that remains alone.”

Like never before, this comes down to a heart matter. We are going to explore our heart and discover how deep, wide and far the love of Jesus will go to enrapture us and keep us. That alone will drive us all toward service and works because out of that, we find the "why."
