This is such an amazing piece of scripture. It is like a pot of Gold. James tells us how the reading and meditating on the Bible makes us desire it deeply. Before people believe who Jesus is, the Bible is just information or intellectual learning. After a rebirth experience, the bible to a believer is like food! We need it. We let it contradict us, stir us, confound us. This is proof that we have been re born, this demonstrates that Jesus is real to you. I pray for a movement of people who see the Bible as something they need not just refer to. This is our prayer!
