The Last Kiss

In this account we see Jesus, Judas, Peter and a young man. Many have this used passage as way of defending a pacifist nature. It is way more than that. Jesus is essentially saying, "I am not to be dealt with using swords and clubs, I am a revolutionary but I use a different kind of sword." In the Bible, sword is used to describe how a kingdom wields power over people; money and military are usually the means. With Jesus, it is about putting a new kind of power in power.

The kingdom of earth and the kingdom of heaven are at odds here. One way uses power to force the other uses power to heal.  However, the Kingdom of Heaven is very difficult to live in, we need to know how to live in it.
